How to Use Sweet Almond Oil
Sweet Almond Oil soaks into the skin quickly and you can apply it to your face, body or hair. Use it undiluted, or mix a few drops of your favourite essential oils.
Our Sweet Almond Oil is cold pressed to retain its exceptional healing properties.
For the Face
Fast-absorbing and non-greasy, Sweet Almond oil is a treat for your face. Warm 4–5 drops in your palms and massage gently all over your face with upward circular motions. Leave on for 30 minutes and wash off with a gentle cleanser. Apply once a day, ideally at bedtime after cleansing and toning.
How to use Sweet Almond Oil as a face cleanser
Sweet Almond Oil easily penetrates your skin to remove oil and dirt that clogs your pores. It gets rid of impurities and dead skin, while regulating sebum. You may need to rinse twice to remove all residue.
How to use Sweet Almond Oil as a face moisturiser
After cleansing your skin, pat your face dry. Then apply a 3–4 drops of Sweet Almond Oil to your face with your fingertips, and let it absorb into your skin. There’s no need to wash it off.
Puffiness and dark circles under eyes
As an anti-inflammatory, Sweet Almond oil can soothe swelling and lighten dark circles. Retinol, Vitamin E and Vitamin K also calm the skin under the eyes. Gently dot a few drops of Sweet Almond Oil under your eyes after cleansing.
Wrinkles
The Vitamins A and E in Sweet Almond oil are antioxidant and daily use will soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Acne
Sweet Almond Oil is full of fatty acids, which balance excess oil on the skin’s surface and dissolve sebum. It also contains retinoids to treat acne, unclog pores and improve cell turnover. Sweet Almond Oil can even prevent blackheads from developing.
Soak a cotton ball in Sweet Almond Oil and use it to clean your face. Follow up with a natural cleanser to remove any oil residue.
Make-up remover
Apply 5–6 drops of Sweet Almond Oil on damp skin with your fingertips or a cotton pad and use to dissolve make-up without using harsh chemicals — it’s especially good for stubborn make-up.
Dry lips
For chapped, dry lips, just apply a few drops of Sweet Almond Oil for an immediate moisture boost.
For the Hair
Sweet Almond Oil hydrates and nourishes hair, restoring its protective barrier, cleansing the hair follicles and making hair lustrous and healthy. It reduces breakage and split ends, and moisturises the scalp, soothing itchiness and softening dry roots.
Applying Sweet Almond oil to your scalp also increases blood flow to your head so that it can absorb the potent antioxidants in the oil.
Frizz buster
To smooth fly-away hair, after shampooing, apply about 5 drops to the ends before drying. This hydrates, tames frizz and makes styling easy.
Flaky or itchy scalp
Antibacterial and fungicidal properties allow Sweet Almond Oil to balance the yeast that causes dandruff.
Massaging the scalp for at least 10 minutes with about 5–7 drops of Sweet Almond oil loosens the build-up of dead cells, which you can then wash out easily.
Once a week, try a Sweet Almond Oil hair mask. Massage the oil into your scalp and let it sit for at least an hour before washing it out. You can even leave it overnight for maximum results.
Hair loss
The biotin in Sweet Almond Oil stimulates hair growth and reduces thinning. A hair treatment with Sweet Almond Oil provides a nourishing boost to your hair.
Tangles and rough hair
Regular massage with Sweet Almond oil softens and conditions your hair, making it easier to comb. It improves hair texture by penetrating the hair shaft at the cellular level so the hair is softer, shinier and less easily damaged.
Weak hair
Oleic acid and linoleic acid in Sweet Almond oil increase the hair’s resilience. Plus, the antioxidants in Vitamin E combat the effects of pollution. Try regular head massage and hair treatments with Sweet Almond oil for silky, strong hair.
Greasy scalp
If your scalp produces too much sebum, hair quickly becomes greasy. Sweet Almond oil regulates sebum production. Use a few drops on your hair and scalp after shampooing.
Damaged beard hair
To protect and strengthen beard hair, try a Sweet Almond oil beard blend:
In a glass bottle, combine:
3 tablespoons Sweet Almond Oil
1 tablespoon Rosehip Oil
10 drops Geranium oil
Pour about 3 drops into your palm and spread through beard hair.
For the Body
Because it’s light and easily absorbed, Sweet Almond oil doesn’t feel sticky on your skin and it suits all skin types: sensitive, dry, normal or oily.
Body moisturiser or massage oil
Try an Ayurvedic self-massage with Sweet Almond oil.
Pour half a cup of Sweet Almond Oil into a glass bottle
Warm it by placing the bottle in a mug of hot water.
Add rosemary essential oils, lavender and cypress oil
Massage your arms and legs, then your abdomen with long, slow strokes
Move to areas of tension: the shoulders, lower back and chest as you breathe deeply
Finish with your feet, paying attention to the pressure points there.
Leave the oil on your skin for at least 15 minutes after your finish your self-massage.
You can also add a tablespoon of Sweet Almond oil to your bath water to moisturise your skin. Or mix Sweet Almond oil with sea salt for a natural body scrub.
Baby massage
Nourishing, light and warming, Sweet Almond Oil is ideal for baby massages. Use 5 drops on baby’s skin after a bath. If your baby has colic, gently using Sweet Almond Oil on their tummy can provide relief.
Nappy rash
Apply a few drops to baby’s bottom in between nappy changes to soothe irritation gently and naturally.
Dry spots
To treat cracked skin on your elbows and feet, nourish with Sweet Almond Oil every day after your shower or bath.

Athlete’s foot
Sweet Almond Oil’s powerful antifungal properties help to prevent or remove fungal infections. Rub into your feet regularly.

Brittle nails and sore cuticles
